Why LeanEvento?

Lean is a non-profit organization, which helps bring free medicines to needed countries. The mission of Lean is to collect donated medicines, clothes, and to ship them to their desire destinations. Lean raises their funds and donation storage by organize both free and paid events. For free events, their intention is to attract as many participants as they can, so that they would have more donations. For paid events, Lean collaborates with other organizations to create more memorable and worth paying events, in this way participants are happy to buy tickets to attend, and also keep up with their charity. Lean doing their fundraising through LEANEVENTO, a web application that allows creating/managing events, managing volunteers/organizations, and controlling participants/donations.

LEANEVENTO Web Application is built using XAMPP, which consists of Apache web server with other features built in. The web application is implemented with HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the front-end as many other websites. Database would be stored and managed using MySQL, which is stacked in and very convenient to use with XAMPP. On the back-end, server-side logic and database connection would be managed by PHP. To fulfill all the aspects of creating/managing events for donations, the application is implemented with seven pages, which has its own functionalities in the process. Each page is designed in a specific way to interact with the database to complete its task. Because the content on every page of the web application is written in Spanish, all the phrases, images, colors, … are given by the patronage.
